Topeka, Kan. – Dr. Shane Van Dalsem, associate professor of finance business at Washburn University, is this year’s recipient of the Kaw Valley Bank Award in Research Excellence. Research projects help a faculty member stay current in their field, creates the opportunity for intellectual exchange among faculty members and students and often provides important insights for business organizations and the general public as a whole. Fifteen years ago, Kaw Valley Bank took notice of these projects and stepped up to support an annual award to recognize outstanding research. Kaw Valley Bank also provides the resources to support the Washburn School of Business Working Paper Series and bi-weekly Business Research Seminar Series.
