Topeka, Kan. – The Washburn University Theatre will present “The Write Cinderella” Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m., in the Neese-Gray Theatre in Garvey hall on the Washburn University campus. This presentation is free and the public is invited.
This one-act play is fully student-devised and written about two step-sisters telling the story of Cinderella in some unconventional, but familiar ways.
The show features some ideas generated from a previous audience who saw a rough sketch of the first half of the show earlier in the semester. If you attended that performance, you may see your idea come to life! The show is family-friendly and lasts approximately forty-five minutes. There is no cost of admission, but donations will be accepted to help fund the student travel to perform The Write Cinderella at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August 2022.
