Topeka, Kan. - Washburn University will host a registration event Saturday, Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Welcome Center of Morgan Hall. Students who plan to attend classes this fall but have not already registered for classes are eligible to participate in this event, from incoming freshmen to those who have yet to apply.
“We are making it as easy as possible for our students, or those thinking about becoming Washburn University students, to be ready to start classes August 22,” said Dr. Richard Liedtke, executive director of enrollment management for Washburn University.
Every student who registers for classes during the Aug. 6 event will be entered into a drawing for an up to $2,500 scholarship. A representative from the Washburn University admissions office will contact the recipient of the scholarship(s) after the event via their Washburn email address.
During the registration event, attendees will have the opportunity to
- Apply for admission if they haven’t done so yet (the traditional application fee will be waived)- Speak with an advisor to help pick their schedule
- Register for classes
- Learn more about financial aid, including information about other potential scholarship opportunities
- Learn about campus accommodations
- Get their Washburn University ID if they do not already have one
