
Topeka, Kan. -Washburn University and the Marching Ichabods (Washburn University’s marching band) will host the annual Capital City Marching Band Festival at Yager Stadium Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and admission will be charged with all proceeds going to support the Washburn University band program.
When: Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Yager Stadium on the Washburn University campus
Admission: Adults $10, Children $5, Children 2 and under are free (All proceeds go to supporting the Washburn University Band program.)
Parking: We ask that all spectators use the parking lots on the west side of the Washburn campus for this event.
Details: The Capital City Marching Band Festival will feature more than 1,100 students and their directors from more than 10 northeast Kansas high schools. Gates open at 5 p.m. and awards will be presented at 9 p.m.
