Topeka, Kan. -Washburn University is hosting the second annual Kansas Bandmasters Association (KBA) Small School Marching Band Championship Saturday, Oct. 15. The event begins at 9:15 a.m. Tickets will be available at the gate. All-day tickets are $10 for ages 13+; ages 6-12, 60+ and military service member’s tickets are available for $5. Cash, credit or debit will be accepted.

Where: Yager Stadium, Washburn University campus
Details: The championship will feature 19 small high school marching bands in Kansas competing in the preliminary competition. The final performances will start at 6:30 p.m. with the top 12 scoring bands competing to be crowned the KBA Small School Marching Band Champion. The Washburn University Marching Ichabods will perform an exhibition following both the preliminary and final competitions.
The event is sponsored by Washburn University Bands and the Kansas Bandmasters Association.
