Media Advisory: Washburn University to Host Two Music Concerts This Weekend, Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9

      Topeka, KS – Washburn University is hosting two concerts this weekend sponsored by the Washburn music department. These concerts are free and open to the public.

Washburn University Jazz Faculty and Guest Concert

     When: 3 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8

     Where: White Concert Hall on the Washburn University campus

Washburn University Choirs Opening Fall Concert

      When: 3 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9

      Where: White Concert Hall on the Washburn University campus

      Details: The concert will feature the music of Eric Whitacre, Abbie Betinis, Philip Glass and composer of the critically acclaimed "The Hope of Loving," Jake Runestad.
