
Topeka, Kan. – Washburn University is hosting two concerts this week sponsored by the Washburn department of music. These concerts are free and open to the public.
Washburn Faculty Recital
When: 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5
Where: White Concert Hall on the Washburn University campus
Details: The Washburn Faculty Recital will feature instruments from woodwind, brass and strings, as well as piano and vocals. Attendees will hear compositions like “Pictures at an Exhibition,” “Pines of Rome P 141,” “Petrushka,” “Evensong,” “Scram!,” “No. 1: Blues for Louis,” “No. 15: Growl Like Cootie,” “Among the Stars” and “Moanin’."
Percussion Studio Recital
When: 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6
Where: White Concert Hall on the Washburn University campus
Details: The Percussion Studio Recital will feature solo performances from each percussion student at Washburn.
