WHAT: Join Washburn University on its annual Day of Giving, Thursday, Feb. 2, as we welcome Scot Ferrell for a Wake Up with Washburn lecture where he will discuss the importance of risk management and the new skillsets students need when they enter into the business world. Ferrell earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree from Washburn where he was actively involved with campus associations, clubs and teams plus a member of Alpha Delta fraternity. With over 30 years of business and risk consulting experience, he is currently a managing director at Marsh McLennan, the world’s leading professional services firm in risk, and leads the western geography sales for the Marsh Risk Consulting. In his free time, he has volunteered for multiple boards including the American Red Cross where he sponsored Prepare Bay Area, an earthquake preparedness training initiative for San Francisco.
