Topeka, Kan. - See Washburn University like never before by taking a new virtual tour, an immersive, firsthand look at Washburn’s 160-acre campus at Washburn.edu/virtualtour.

“We are thrilled to share our campus with the world. From historic buildings with modern amenities to new, multi-million-dollar athletic facilities, Washburn University is undoubtedly one of the most impressive regional universities in the Midwest,” said Dr. Alan Bearman, interim executive director of enrollment management and dean of the Center for Student Success and Retention at Washburn University.

The tour includes videos, panoramic views and photos of our facilities and campus with information about departments and offices housed in each building. An added feature is a layers option, allowing viewers to find campus dining, residences, recreation and wellness facilities, parking and accessible entrances.

Students and alumni narrate much of the tour, sharing the history of the university as well as information about their respective programs. Seeing is believing. Bearman expects the virtual tour to make strong connections with prospective students who are looking for the best place to pursue an education and, as a college student, call home.

“I invite anyone, even sitting on their couch, to spend a few minutes on our campus virtually,” Bearman said. “Get a feel for who we are, what we value and how we help students achieve their academic goals. Our campus is designed to help all students succeed.

While we encourage people to take the virtual tour, Washburn still believes in one-on-one, personal connections. Tour our campus in person and see for yourself that our students are known, not numbered.”
