Topeka, Kan. – Washburn University faculty and staff will begin welcoming students back to campus Thursday, Aug. 17, in preparation for the fall 2023 semester. Washburn students, faculty and staff will physically help students move items from their vehicles into their rooms throughout the day. Washburn University President JuliAnn Mazachek will greet students as they are moving into Washburn University’s residential living facilities.
What: Move-In Day
When: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Aug. 17
President Mazachek will be greeting students beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Living Learning Center (LLC) and then will move to Lincoln Hall. She will be accompanied by Lori Hutchinson, interim public relations director. You can call Hutchinson at 785-224-6212 to confirm President Mazachek’s location at any time from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Move-In Day is an annual tradition and is the start of university-wide activities designed to help new and returning students become acclimated to campus and learn more about student life at Washburn.
