Topeka, Kan. – The Washburn University physics and astronomy department will have open sessions of the Crane Observatory Thursdays, Sept. 21 – Dec. 7. These sessions are free and open to the public.

  • 8 – 9:30 p.m., Sept. 21
  • 8 – 9:30 p.m., Sept. 28
  • 7:30 – 9 p.m., Oct. 5
  • 7:30 – 9 p.m., Oct. 12
  • 7:30 – 9 p.m., Oct. 19
  • 7:30 – 9 p.m., Oct. 26
  • 7 – 8 p.m., Nov. 2
  • 6 – 7:30 p.m., Nov. 9
  • 6 – 7:30 p.m., Nov. 16
  • 6 – 7:30 p.m., Nov. 30
  • 6 – 7:30 p.m., Dec. 7

 

Where: Fourth floor, Crane Observatory in Stoffer Science Hall on the Washburn University campus

      Attendees have the option to take the stairs or the elevator to the fourth floor. It should be noted that there are steps up to the observatory room. The observing sessions are subject to the weather. The public can check washburn.edu/observatory the day of a session to see if the event has been canceled.
