Topeka, Kan. – KTWU is pleased to announce a live forum for the Kansas 2nd Congressional District. “Election 2024: KS 2nd Congressional District Forum” will be held at 7 p.m. October 25 in the KTWU studios, on the Washburn University campus. Confirmed candidates for this live television event are Nancy Boyda, Democratic candidate, John Hauer, Libertarian candidate, and Derek Schmidt, Republican candidate.
KTWU HD Channel 11.1 will air the forum live. The forum will also livestream on YouTube TV, Hulu, AT&T TV, Local Now, www.ktwu.org and be available on demand at watch.ktwu.org, as well as will be rebroadcast at later dates.
The forum, which will have a live studio audience, is sponsored by the Washburn University Political Science Department, and will be moderated by Dr. Bob Beatty, political science department chair and professor, Washburn.
All questions will be pre-selected and/or screened by the Washburn University Political Science Department. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions at the forum, and the viewing audience may submit questions during the forum on KTWU’s Facebook page, facebook.com/ktwu11, or via Facebook Messenger. The moderator will incorporate the approved questions into the discussion and alternate which candidate answers first.
KTWU HD Channel 11.1 and KTWU Channel 11.3 will schedule repeats of this election special through Election Day 2024. The KTWU Program Schedule can be found on the KTWU website.
