
Topeka, Kan. – Washburn University is giving students an additional reason to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who have a completed FAFSA on file at Washburn by May 1 will be automatically entered into a drawing for one of 10 nonrenewable Washburn scholarships worth $1,000 each ($500 per semester).
To enter the drawing, students need to do the following before May 1.
1. Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA using Washburn’s school code (001949).2. Have a Washburn University undergraduate admissions application on file or be a continuing undergraduate student (Washburn Tech students are not eligible for this scholarship).
3. Students must enroll full-time for the 2025-2026 academic year to receive the scholarship.
There are still two free Washburn FAFSA completion workshops this spring for students and their families. Participants do not have to enroll or apply to Washburn to attend these workshops.
