
FIFTH ANNUAL WOMEN ON WHEELS CAR SHOW RETURNS TO KTWU ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13
Family-friendly event includes Popular PBS KIDS®Donkey Hodie character meet and greet in children’s activity area
TOPEKA, Kan. – KTWU will be hosting the Fifth Annual Women on Wheels Car Show on Saturday, September 13, on the Washburn University campus in Topeka, Kansas. Proceeds of the event will allow KTWU to continue providing programs and services that enrich the lives of those in the KTWU viewing area.
The Women on Wheels car show runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to the car show, the family-friendly event includes food trucks, vendors, a children’s activity area, and a meet and greet with the popular PBS KIDS character Donkey Hodie!
This fun community event, “geared” toward women, is the first car show in Kansas, and throughout the KTWU viewing area, designed to specifically feature women and their vehicles, including motorcycles.
Everyone is welcome to attend and show their vehicles, but prizes will be reserved for the cars who are entered by women. Registration is only $25; T-shirts are also available for purchase. To register, purchase t-shirts or get more information, visit ktwu.org/womenonwheels/ or call 785-670-1111.
Prize categories are: “Inspire Award” and "People’s Choice,” and “Best of”: Vintage (1986 and older), Contemporary (1987 to present), Modified Custom, Motorcycles/3-wheelers, British, Jeeps/Trucks/4-wheel Drive and Special Interest.
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and donors, there will be the opportunity for guests to purchase raffle tickets during the event.
