Washburn University to Showcase Student Research at Annual “Day of Transformation”

Topeka, Kan. — Washburn University students will present their completed Washburn Transformational Experience (WTE) projects during the annual “Day of Transformation” from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Plass Learning Resources Center on the Washburn campus. The event is free and open to the public.

WTE empowers students to take their learning beyond the classroom through self-designed projects driven by their passions and goals. Each project focuses on one of four pillars: community and civic engagement, international education, leadership, or scholarly and creative endeavors. Students give either an oral or poster presentation during the event.

“The annual Day of Transformation showcases students’ immersive learning experiences and their ability to bridge classroom theory with real-world application. Their projects exemplify Washburn’s commitment to experiential education, enhancing both personal growth and career readiness,” said Dr. Adebanke L. Adebayo, assistant professor of communication studies, Washburn Transformational Experience scholarly and creative endeavors faculty fellow, Washburn University.
