Washburn University Gregory D. and Ronda K. Brenneman School of Business Maintains Prestigious Accreditation

Topeka, Kan. – AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) announced that the Washburn University Gregory D. and Ronda K. Brenneman School of Business maintained its AACSB accreditation for a six-year term, the maximum possible period. AACSB accreditation is a hallmark of excellence in business education and is earned by only 6% of the world’s business schools.

“We are proud to maintain our AACSB accreditation, a distinction that affirms the strength and relevance of business education at Washburn University,” said Dr. David Sollars, dean, Brenneman School of Business and professor of economics, Washburn University. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty and staff, the drive of our students and the steadfast support of President Mazachek and Provost Fritch, as well as our alumni, donors and business partners throughout the region. At Washburn, we are committed to providing an accessible, high-quality education that prepares our graduates to lead with integrity and make an immediate impact in Kansas and beyond.”

The Brenneman School of Business first earned AACSB accreditation in 2006. AACSB extended the accreditation in 2011, 2016, 2021 and again in 2026.

Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the world’s largest global network and standard-setting body for business education. Its accreditation framework includes nine international standards that business schools use to assess the quality of their educational services. The standards emphasize strategic management, learner success, thought leadership and societal impact. Schools that earn AACSB accreditation undergo a rigorous peer review process and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development and learner success.
