Media Advisory: Washburn University to Host Annual Day of Transformation Nov. 22

WHAT: Annual Washburn Transformational Experience, Day of Transformation

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 22, from 12 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center on the Washburn University campus

WHO: Washburn University students, Washburn University faculty and staff

DETAILS: Each year, hundreds of Washburn University students complete a Washburn Transformational Experience (WTE) project.  These projects provide opportunities for students to enhance their learning through direct interaction with faculty while engaging in experiences outside of the classroom. It is expected that the student's experience will yield a greater understanding of the world around them and how one might utilize their unique skills and abilities to affect positive change.

The Day of Transformation is an opportunity for those students to present their completed projects to the public. Students will present posters with information about their projects. Projects may be completed in one of four areas: leadership, community service, study abroad, or scholarly and creative.
